A glimpse to my world: The ASEAN SOMHD

Just wanted to share to you what we’ve been working for nine long days at Marco Polo Plaza some three weeks ago. Philippines hosted the 1st Meeting of the ASEAN Task Force on Non-Communicable Diseases and the 7th Senior Officials Meeting on Health Development and we, Cebu, had the honor to host the said important event. It was a series of meetings attended by the Ministers of Health and other important persons from the Health Department from all over Asia. Just one thing, despite the sleepless nights we had, it was truly a great opportunity for me to be part of this.

So here you go, a glimpse to my work-world ☺

Forever thankful!

It doesn’t have to be Sunday to feel blessed and it doesn’t have to be Thanksgiving to be thankful :)  To be completely honest, I wasn’t too hyped up for this entire weekend just because I knew the load that awaits me after. I was excited go back home and spend a day or two with the fambam, but anticipating all the workload-after-a-relaxing-weekend was interfering with it.  But naaah, to see everyone is all that matters!! :)

Over the Holidays: A Photodiary

Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill is to have the real spirit of Christmas. It is also a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of family and friends. I spend Christmas and New Year at home for the last 22 years and I wouldn’t trade it for anything fancy. There is just something really magical about our isla. (Not that it is wickedly magical. HAHA!) Coming home even just for a couple of days is JOY! As they say, there’s nothing like staying at home for real comfort :)

Here are some snapshots of what went through over my one-week holiday at home. Its not that much since I basically spent more hours in bed. haha!

Cheers to the New Year!! ツ

Years pass but memories would last forever. 2011 had been a jumpy roller coaster ride for me. I’m not a fan of being an adult, living & deciding on my own, but that just how it goes. We can cry all we want for all the bad things that happened this year… but the truth is, life goes on and we all need to move on some day, so stop whining about “how bad 2011 was” or how soon you want to leave this year behind. Life’s about taking it day by day and it couldn’t be that bad 365 days, 24 hours could it? :)  Time moves so fast and things change so rapidly and it’s beginning to make my head spin; In a good sort of way. :) And as we end this year, I would like to send all my greetings and gratitude to everyone who made each day of my 2011 special!

Let’s all welcome 2012 with a loud bang!
