Bloggers United Strikes Three!

Third time’s the charm for the most anticipated fashion bloggers event in the country!

Bloggers United is staging their third bloggers bazaar this June 2 at the Grandview Events Place to once again gather Manila’s top fashion bloggers in one single venue outside of the World Wide Web. After holding two successful events last year, Bloggers United has easily become one of the most anticipated affairs for both fashion bloggers and readers in the metro. More than just a bazaar, Bloggers United also partners with charitable groups to use and channel their influence in a positive manner.

Through the overwhelming power of social media and blogs in today’s generation, the previous Bloggers United events have successfully joined forces with top fashion bloggers like Laureen Uy, Camille Co, Kryz Uy and many more to inspire their followers and to raise funds for various beneficiaries, namely KIDS Foundation and GMA Kapuso Foundation. This time around, the event will benefit Operation Smile Philippines.

The event gets better and better every time! To make Bloggers United 3 even more momentous, top Indonesian fashion blogger Anastacia Siantar of The Brown Platform will also be selling alongside Cebu Fashion bloggers and our very own top celebrities Divine Lee & Sarah Meier.

Summer doesn’t have to be black or grey

My sun-kissed carefree days are about to be over..but a hint of neon will definitely bring you back to the summer-ish feeling!

Gotta have to review this btw, my Summer Plans:

1. Sleep as much as possible.

2. Buy new books; read one or two.

3. Diet

4. Have fun at the beach.

5. Get a tan.

6. Watch the sunset.

7. Travel somewhere near!

8. Fall in love. HAHA! CHOZ

Thrill-seekers!

Conquered CDO’s White Water Rafting on a Good Friday (yes, i know, on a holy week) (: This has got to be one of the best outdoor trip I’ve ever taken. And yes you kinda feel mighty, free, easy and comfortable on a raft (: Totally DOPE and definitely not for the faint-hearted!

I am sunburnt (up until now, i guess). It’s not a nice feeling but it was totally worth it. As terrified as I was of the rapids, the calm parts were so incredibly peaceful, just being surrounded by the cold water and the mountains and people that you enjoy. And now I’m badly missing these earthlings!

Life is, indeed, good. What more could I ask for?

Nuffnang is Coming to Cebu!

Guess who’s invading Queen City of the South? Nuffnang Philippines!! Asia-Pacific’s leading blog advertising community (composed of over thousands of bloggers) will visit Cebu City this weekend. Who’s excited to meet the great minds behind Nuffnang? def, MEEEE!

If I were to tour the team in Cebu, I would take them to our pungko-pungko areas and Larsian for them to try our own street food: tocino/bbq, isaw, siomai sa tisa, puso, kwek2x and other grilled foods which means cholesterol to the highest level!!

To go to Colon and Carbon and ride our colorfully coded Cebuano jeepneys, is also a different kind of adventure. One big task: To survive walking down the oldest streets of Cebu where you can find almost everything from fresh fruits and veges to danggit (dried fish) and to the cheapest bargain a fashionista could have: ukay finds!

But of course, who could forget our magical white sand beaches that are literally minutes away? We are, after all, the envy of all cityfolk

The heat. That sweltering heat.

This can serve as one of the times I’ve actually felt that it’s summer. Loose shirts and cotton shorts do not cut it these days. And if it were not for the fact that I’m not in the comforts of my own home, I would have jumped into a cold shower for the umpteenth time by now.

I got this wooden bangle (and a whole lot more accessories) from Alegre Guitar Factory (who exports guitars all over the country) in Mactan Cebu during our work tour there! These are made locally by our talented Cebuanos! Don’t you just love finding pieces that makes us proud? PINOY PRIDE it is!

Another Pinoy fashion forward clothing brand that makes ever Filipino proud is Freeway! The top I got makes me feel comfy and breezy! Perfect ayt?

And who doesn’t love chunky fabric necklaces to polish off your outfit? Simone’s closet have everything you’ve asked for! I cannot wait for the next collection that will be launched this April 28!

To be lazy and not wear heels on a Sunday is acceptable, more so if you wear these Esme Sandals from the Blanc collection of Gold Dot! Made up of faux leather and velcro, this sandals are made perfect for summer! You can actually wear it in two styles! More on that in a different post.

Seeing and wearing these amazing pieces that are locally made in our own country makes me more proud to be Pinoy!!

I’m shutting down for the afternoon. My processor is already burning up at 32 degrees Celsius, despite having a full-blast AC and constantly drowning myself with cold water. O_o

A glimpse to my world: The ASEAN SOMHD

Just wanted to share to you what we’ve been working for nine long days at Marco Polo Plaza some three weeks ago. Philippines hosted the 1st Meeting of the ASEAN Task Force on Non-Communicable Diseases and the 7th Senior Officials Meeting on Health Development and we, Cebu, had the honor to host the said important event. It was a series of meetings attended by the Ministers of Health and other important persons from the Health Department from all over Asia. Just one thing, despite the sleepless nights we had, it was truly a great opportunity for me to be part of this.

So here you go, a glimpse to my work-world ☺

Moving on to my next backlog, here’s what I wore the weekend I went home for the thanksgiving party and my Day Four outfit for Postura Challenge. Woke up an hour late for my flight (choz, nope, its my usual travel time) to Dumaguete and literally jumped out of bed, grabbed the first thing I saw from my closet. P.S. just don’t mind the haggard face. Opted to play with some colors which reminds me of Barney (that fluffy ‘?’ big dinosaur every kid knows), thus the title. Pardon me for being too lazy to think of a better title post.
